Central Florida Children's Home

Located on beautiful Lake Whipporwill, 15 miles south of Orlando, Florida, the Central Florida Children's Home was founded in 1973 by Eastland Baptist Church, under the leadership of the late Pastor Clyde F. Green, and it operates under its own Charter and Board of Directors. We care for abandoned, abused and neglected children, ages 3 to 18, whose parents either cannot or will not care for them.

The children are cared for in an environment focused on...

ProvidingProviding...

The children are provided for in every manner at the Central Florida Children's Home. From three square meals a day, to maintenance of medical and dental appointments, the staff and volunteers see that the children are cared for as are their own. Every effort is made to make these children's lives as close to normal as possible.

EducatingEducating...

Many children come to us behind in schooling due to truancy and other difficulties. However, with the opportunity to attend Eastland Christian School, most are able to catch up. For those who need it, personal tutoring is also available. The children are given the opportunities to participate in school sports, music and drama. To many, this opens up a whole new world never before experienced.

Spiritually GuidingSpiritually Guiding...

Most of our children come to us with little or no religious background. We provide an environment rich in spiritual emphasis. From attending Eastland Baptist Church, and a Biblically based school, to the family and personal devotions held at the Home, the ultimate goal is reaching children for Jesus Christ.

And Keeping Families Together...

Resulting from a strong belief that families should be kept together, the Central Florida Children’s Home opens its doors to both boys and girls. Most of the children come with younger or older siblings. Being separated from Mom and Dad is a traumatic event, and having siblings helps in the transition. We are also willing to help the parents restore their lives and in turn their families.

Funding...

The Central Florida Children's Home recieves no state or federal funding, but exists soley on the gifts and contributions of people who have a love for children. Although many large churches and organizations support the Home, the lifeline of our ministry is people just like you. Click here for opportunities to "invest in the lives of children."
